We need to rethink Europe’s critical infrastructure.

Problem
Existing methods for climate risk analysis and adaptation are not tailored to the complexities of Critical Infrastructure (CI).

Europe is in dire need of
clear, approachable and actionable
adaptation strategies.
Adaptation prioritisation should move beyond the standard
asset-based losses and account for indirect losses, opportunity
costs and other co-benefits.
This is MIRACA.
An evidence-based decision support toolkit that meets real world demands, developed by researchers, scientists, developers, designers.
New at MIRACA!

MIRACA at the International Conference on Resilience Science (ICRS 2026)
The sixth International Conference on Resilience Science in Delft showcased key presentations by MIRACA project colleagues on infrastructure resilience, supply chain robustness, and climate adaptation. Topics included flood impact assessments, critical infrastructure failure methodologies, and macroeconomic implications of disasters, emphasizing the interconnectedness between economies, infrastructure, and community resilience against climate risks.
