This study presents an open-source deep learning pipeline for detecting power infrastructure, like towers and poles, from high-resolution satellite imagery. A new method to compile global multi-hazard event sets
This study introduces the MYRIAD-Hazard Event Sets Algorithm (MYRIAD-HESA), an open-access tool for creating multi-hazard event sets from historical data across diverse scales. It compiles a global database (2004-2017) of eleven hazards, addressing multi-hazard interactions and incorporating time-lags, enhancing disaster risk understanding and assessment capabilities.

Η εργασία προτείνει μεθοδολογία και εργαλεία για την εκτίμηση της σεισμικής τρωτότητας κρίσιμων κτιρίων, όπως σχολικά, συνδυάζοντας ταχύ οπτικό έλεγχο και λεπτομερή εκτίμηση. Το σύστημα "RiskSchools" επιτρέπει τη ιεράρχηση προτεραιοτήτων για ενίσχυση κτιρίων, μειώνοντας τον σεισμικό κίνδυνο, με πιλοτική εφαρμογή στην Κεντρική Μακεδονία.
